Frequently Asked Questions

Find technical answers about deployment, latency, solar metrics, and camera configuration.

No. PashuTham™ is designed to be 100% offline first. All artificial intelligence inference, object classification, and deterrence decision making occur locally on the edge processor. Internet connectivity is only used to send notification updates to the mobile app or dashboard when GSM signals are available.
PashuTham™ uses a randomized active deterrence model. Instead of playing the same tone or flashing lights in a fixed sequence, the system rotates through high decibel auditory frequencies (random predator sounds, horns, sirens) and flashes the LED strobe arrays in irregular, non repetitive cycles. This prevents wildlife habituation.
Our edge models are custom trained to detect and classify a wide variety of rural intruders, including leopards, tigers, wild boars, Nilgai (blue bulls), elephants, deer, monkeys, and humans. It screens out small animals like birds, rodents, and domestic pets to prevent false alarms.
PashuTham™ is powered by a high efficiency 200W solar panel paired with a premium 12V 100Ah Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery. This setup provides up to 5 days of autonomous, continuous operation during heavy rain, overcast winter conditions, or complete grid outages.
Dhaani.ai is our integrated regional voice bot. Because many rural farmers prefer voice interactions over typing, the companion app allows users to chat naturally with the system. Dhaani.ai speaks and understands 16 Indian languages, providing text to speech reports on intrusion incidents, device diagnostics, and local crop advice.
PashuTham™ has been incubated by PUSA Krishi (IARI, New Delhi) and SIIF (SSCBS, Delhi). It is officially supported by the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme and has undergone multiple field trials in high conflict agricultural corridors.
PashuTham™ features an integrated high precision GPS module that triggers a remote tamper alert if the device is moved from its geofenced installation coordinates. Additionally, the IP66 cabinet is locked with industrial grade mechanical hinges and can be equipped with anti tamper sensors.
Yes. The edge AI models are specifically trained to identify humans. The system can be configured to suppress active alarms (hooters and strobes) when detecting humans, preventing unnecessary noise while still logging the event or sending a silent notification.
PashuTham™ is mounted on a 4 meter high galvanized steel mast. The typical installation time for a single unit is under 3 hours, including setting up the solar array, securing the mast foundation, calibrating the camera field of view, and connecting the battery storage. No specialized local wiring is needed.
PashuTham™ supports cloud sync for remote device management. Our centralized web dashboard allows administrators, agricultural co-ops, and forestry offices to view aggregated telemetry, check battery health curves, run diagnostic checks, and push over the air (OTA) updates to edge units remotely.
PashuTham™ features a built in low voltage disconnect (LVD) routine that safely shuts down the edge NPU and high draw alarms if battery capacity drops below 15%. The system remains in a low power hibernation state, only running telemetry logging, and automatically resumes normal operations once solar charging recovers the battery state.
